These measure how a school responds to behaviour, and schools set their own thresholds, so they are not a measure of how students behave.

What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from September 2025. ERO found that the school has worked closely with iwi, parents and whānau since its previous review, and that iwi support has grown teachers’ confidence in te reo Māori, tikanga and mātauranga Māori.

A mana whenua theme shapes the curriculum around the local environment and history, students get regular te reo Māori lessons, and the school is trialling a Reo Rua class.

ERO judged that success and progress are rising, that teaching is lifting progress in reading, writing and maths, and that students with complex needs are well supported. A large majority of students reach the expected level in reading and maths, with writing lower. Students feel they belong, and the school reports clearly to families.

ERO’s priorities for the school are to lift regular attendance, which is close to the government target, to review its curriculum so it lines up with the new English and maths requirements, and to make sure students are ready as they move between the early stages of the English curriculum.

Out-of-zone places are offered under the enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places. The school publishes its out-of-zone places and ballot dates on its enrolment page each year.
